Migrating to 1.0.0

This guide summarizes the 1.0.0 source API and adjustments from older 0.5.x documentation. It is not an unverified historical release timeline.

Update dependencies

npm install erlangform@1.0.0 zod@^4 @tanstack/react-form@^1

The source uses React 19. Review your application dependencies and run type checks/build after upgrading. Use the named ErlForm import; styles load automatically.

Configuration checklist

• Infer Values from your schema and check configuration with satisfies FieldConfig.
• Scope object children under their parent to avoid name collisions.
• Use item for primitive arrays, arrays of arrays, and arrays of tuples. Explicit item configuration replaces the parent's item fallback.
• Use numeric positions for tuples.
• Use z.email(), z.url(), and z.iso.* for specialized inference.
• Attach validators to useForm; the ErlForm schema provides renderer metadata.
• Set explicit defaultValues; schema defaults do not automatically initialize state.

The documentation covers radio, checkbox groups, Date/ISO datetime/files, records, tuples, discriminated unions, nested arrays, array limits/duplication/reordering, custom components, conditions, sections, wizards, and server errors.

Some declared options are not applied by every renderer. See schema support, Files, and Wizard, and test your application's cases before upgrading production.

Documentation URLs

English is the default at /docs; Indonesian is at /id/docs. The language switch preserves the topic. Objects and arrays are under Structured data, and old /docs/basic/object, /docs/basic/arrays, /docs/object, and /docs/arrays URLs redirect to their current locations.
